Take control of your
brain health.

✓  Now covered by Medicare

A science-backed program paid for by Medicare to help you reduce dementia risk, think better, and stay independent.

The opportunity

Nearly 1 in 2 dementia cases can be prevented.

A 2024 Lancet Commission report found that up to 45% of dementia cases are potentially preventable by addressing everyday, modifiable risk factors.

Frequently asked questions.

Who is eligible for BetterBrain covered by Medicare?
You may be eligible if you have Medicare Part B and are managing one of four types of conditions: heart (vascular), metabolic, chronic pain, or mood. A short check confirms your eligibility. Some conditions are excluded for safety, such as advanced dementia or cognitive impairment, certain severe or unstable medical conditions, pregnancy, and hospice or nursing-home care. Because ACCESS is a Medicare model test, Medicare may also randomly place a small share of eligible people into a comparison group who keep their regular Medicare coverage instead. That choice is made by Medicare, not BetterBrain, and it never changes your Medicare benefits.
What will this cost me if I join?
For eligible members, nothing. Medicare allows programs like ours to charge a standard copay, but we've chosen to waive it entirely, so your covered program is free.
What time commitment does BetterBrain require?
BetterBrain works best when you're an active partner in your care. Expect to spend a bit of time up front on your baseline testing and setting up your plan, then a little time each week acting on it, plus a check-in each quarter.
Do I need a referral to join BetterBrain?
No referral is needed. You can check your eligibility yourself, without asking your doctor first. With your permission, we'll keep your own doctor in the loop.
What if I have Medicare Advantage?
The covered program is for Original Medicare (Part B) members right now. If you have Medicare Advantage, you can still join BetterBrain directly, and we'll let you know as coverage expands.
Where is BetterBrain available?
BetterBrain is available in 48 states. The whole program is delivered virtually, so you can take part from the comfort of home. Eligibility can vary by state, and the eligibility check confirms whether it's available where you live.
I already have my own doctor. How does BetterBrain fit in?
BetterBrain works alongside your primary care doctor, it doesn't replace them. Think of us as a dedicated brain health team that adds deeper testing, a personalized plan, and day-to-day support.
Does BetterBrain diagnose Alzheimer's or other dementias?
No. BetterBrain is a prevention and wellness program, not a diagnostic service.
Is my health data private?
Yes. BetterBrain is HIPAA-compliant. Your information is encrypted, never sold, and used only to support your care.
